On today’s Business Wednesday, Jake is joined by John Thornton Jr.
Thornton Jr. is the executive director of HELD, an organization based in Greensboro, N.C. that helps people in poverty get out of it by giving them money. He arrived at this approach after spending years in the ministry, learning what works by doing it.
He’s also a standup comedian who has opened for Nate Bargatze and James Austin Johnson, among others, and uses his comedy to help raise funds for the organization.
